Brand stacking

What is Brand stacking?

Brand stacking is when the user sees several pages of a website in the first of SERPs, when they search for what they need. It mainly occurs as larger brands create content with relevant keywords, making them dominate the result pages. Thus, it favours big brands, and their content gets ranked higher than other websites. Most of them debate and argue that brand stacking is unethical and unfair for the users, as they see different web pages of the same website.

Brand stacking is a feature not all websites can enjoy, as content has to be created considering how it matches the search intent and how much relevant the content is. Another advantage that brand stacking offers is that it can avoid displaying negative feedback on the pages, allowing the brands to protect their reputation and popularity.
