Wireframe
Wireframes are a blueprint of a good web design that outlines the structure and layout of the web page. It is mostly used by clients at their initial stage of web design development, i.e., they focus on site architecture, placement of elements, and paths of page navigation. A wireframe includes pages, headers, logos, search fields, share buttons and placeholder text, except the colour scheme, typography and imagery. There are mainly three types of wireframes that are as follows:-
Low-fidelity wireframes are rough sketches of web design made without a digital tool. They enable drawing the hierarchy and structure of a web page. Design elements are not involved much and are kept minimalistic.
Secondly, mid-fidelity wireframes are more developed than low-fidelity wireframes, which are the first phase of the wireframing process. It emphasises the functionality later developing the page structure and enhancing the user interface.
Thirdly, high-fidelity wireframes serve as the final phase of wireframing, where user interface components such as fonts, images, buttons, etc. are considered. It provides a detailed version of the UI components that will look like after the finishing.
