File Transfer Protocol(FTP)
FTP is the process of transferring computer files between devices over the Internet. It works when one party is allowed to send or receive files over the Internet. There are two types of FTP, known as anonymous and password-protected, respectively. The latter requires a username and password to access, whereas the former doesn’t need any of the requirements.
Apart from these two types, there are some of the FTPs which can be understood from the following,
Hypertext Transfer Protocol serves as the foundation of web browsing. It explains how data is transferred and formatted between a web browser and a server.
Internet Message Access Protocol helps in accessing email from different devices and keeping the emails stored on the server itself.
Network Time Protocol sets the same time for all computers in a network. This is helpful for Internet functions like synchronised financial transactions or accurate logging activity.
