Advertising networks

Advertising networks act as an intermediary between publishers and advertisers, helping them to meet the demand and supply of advertisements. Platforms like Google AdSense, AppLovin, Adcash, Publift, PopAds, etc are examples of advertising networks.

Advertising networks are crucial in monetising publishers’ content, serving as a middleman between them and advertisers. They offer tools for both parties so that the former gets to list add space, and the latter gets to manage their campaigns accordingly. In other words, they are responsible for helping online advertisers buy available ad space/inventory across several publishers.

For the publishers, these networks can help them sell residual ad space that wasn’t sold through direct deals. For the advertisers, an advertising network can ensure centralised reporting and save time as they don’t need any direct and separate agreements with every publisher. Such platforms can look into the reach and frequency of the campaigns that can ease both parties’ activities.

Some examples of advertising networks are Google AdSense, AppLovin, Adcash, Publift, and PopAds.
