What is Cost per thousand (CPM)?
Cost per thousand(CPM) is generally the cost of an ad that receives a thousand impressions. It’s a metric used to check how efficient the ad is at getting clicked by a specific audience. As for a pricing model, CPM is the amount the digital publisher charges for the thousand impressions it gets over its digital platforms.
Therefore, it’s also a KPI like CPC, which can be calculated by dividing the cost by the impressions, which are to be multiplied by 1000. If an advertiser pays Rs. 1000 for an ad, given in this case, it can be the cost for the thousand impressions they may get.
A good CPM may vary depending on the product industry, advertising budget, and pricing model(for CPM).
