Authority

What is Authority?

Authority builds a website’s trustworthiness and credibility, which helps it rank higher in search results. Overall, they imply that a website’s strength is its ability to get ranked and pass it while being used as a backlink. There are usually three levels of authority: domain authority, page authority, and link authority.

Domain authority is developed by Moz, which estimates the performance of a website in terms of ranking. The scores are numbered from 0 to 100, where higher scores are likely to be ranked. It can help compare the potential ranking with that of competitors.

Page authority, like domain authority, is also developed by Moz and ranges its score from 0 to 100. It can predict how well a particular page will rank on search engine result pages. The difference between them is that the latter considers on-page elements for improving it, while the former doesn’t.

Link authority simply defines the link’s power to ensure the website’s ranking. In other words, it could mean that the number of links on a website builds its authority.
