Hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP)

What is Hypertext transfer protocol?

Hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) is the protocol that enables the communication and transfer of data between the website server and the user browser. In other words, it sends information across the Internet. It is also an application layer protocol which then used for loading the web pages using hypertext links.

Today, it’s replaced with a more secure protocol known as HTTPS, as it provides better security and connection when browsers communicate with the servers. This also has been used while practising technical SEO as it attributes, credibility and authority to a website.
