Pageview

Whenever a page is viewed by a user, it’s because the browser loads that page; this is a pageview. Pageviews also represents how many times a webpage is viewed over a specific period. Page visit is not the same as pageviews, as one visit can cause multiple page views. A single user can come to your site and view many pages.

Page views are easy to understand, calculate, measure, and analyze. However, page views do not consider if the view happened on a fresh visit or one that already exists, as websites don’t need to track visitors based on pageviews. This way, users have more privacy while browsing.
Unique pageviews refer to the number of sessions when a particular page was viewed at least once, and is counted for every separate combination of URL and page title.

Google Analytics helps in tracking pageviews. So that you know how the pages of your website are faring. A higher number of pageviews indicates that the content on those pages was liked by users. Analyzing the pageviews gives you insights into how users interact with different web pages, apps, or a site on the whole.
By optimizing your layout, making sure that you have interesting, original, and relevant content, and keeping an eye on the bounce rate, you can increase your pageviews. Simplify navigation with sidebars and headers, and link posts and pages internally to help users find content similar to what they have liked already.
