Firewall
Firewall is a program that acts as a barrier between a secure internal network and the Internet. It can be used against attacks such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), and denial-of-service (DoS) attacks. Thus, it secures computers from harmful things on the Internet. They can be implemented in the following ways,
- Network-based firewalls manage the data flow from and to the website’s server.
- Web application firewalls check and control the web traffic to prevent targeted attacks on the web applications.
- Cloud services use cloud-based firewalls without needing any physical hardware.
